Elizabeth Jo Ann Smart Drane scrapbook, 1956-1957.

The Elizabeth Jo Anne Smart Drane papers date from 1956 to 1957. The collection contains a variety of correspondence materials. Among them are correspondence between her and the Woman's College of the University of North Carolina regarding admissions, between Drane and her parents in which she writes of her studies and experiences at the college, and also between her and a former Woman's College student who commends Drane for her maturity regarding race integration at the college. The collection also contains two event programs and a newspaper clipping concerning a 1957 Universal Day of Prayer for Students in which Drane had participated.

Elizabeth Jo Anne Smart Drane of Raleigh, North Carolina was a student of the Woman's College of the University of North Carolina (now The University of North Carolina at Greensboro), graduating in 1960 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology.
